Family Program
Our Family Transitional Housing Program serves families experiencing homelessness or without stable housing looking to move toward housing stability and self-sufficiency.
We provide stable housing and supportive case management to help families break the cycle of poverty and homelessness, overcome barriers, and achieve their goals. Ithaka has a number of housing units in Colorado Springs that provide transitional housing for families. Each household pays 30% of their income in rent and between 50 and 70 people are in the program at a time.
Our Family Program provides housing to households with:
- One or two parent households with children under 18 years old
- At least one person employed and able to maintain full time employment
- Have the capacity to achieve financial stability
- Have the ability to take responsibility for actions
- A willingness to fully participate and engage in program expectations
- At least one parent of the household has a path to growing economically
- A family who is motivated and willing to commit to the program
- Would benefit from transitional housing, have goals and a plan for after Ithaka – would be successful in finding and obtaining affordable long-term housing in the community
